We offer small house settings as a friendly, accessible alternative to large, institutional Assisted Living facilities. We know that aging and illness can bring many challenges, but we believe they should not separate people from their community or culture. To that end, we go the extra mile in making culturally diverse programs and community connections available to our residents.
Our leadership team is reflective of the people we serve. Our staff is trilingual and has proficiencies in English, Spanish, and East African/Swahili. Our 24/7 care attendants are, whenever possible, drawn from nearby neighborhoods so that they can best provide professional health services alongside a racially sensitive awareness and appreciation of residents’ backgrounds. Our independent houses - each with a capacity of 8-12 residents - are located in familiar surroundings, not set apart or segregated.
